It was known as the style rocaille, or rocaille style.[2] It soon spread supplementary parts of Europe, particularly northern Italy, Bavaria, Austria, further parts of Germany, and Russia. It afterward came to have an effect on the extra arts, particularly sculpture, furniture, silverware and glassware, painting, music, and theatre.
